May, 2009: Travelling Salesman

And here we go again!

The theme for May is.... The Travelling Salesman.
But what are they selling? Sure, it could be vacuum cleaners or life insurance... but it could also be baby dragons, daggers, watches, balloons, carnivorous plants, bacon, or even alien party tricks. Up to you... have fun and good luck!

This lil guy has got Kill'r Deals to Die for literally......

Haven't been on for a while and figured I'd give it another go for this one

Already ideas floatin through my brains...
sometimes they hit a neuron or two, which has a nice effect on the visual parts...
And occasionally there is this interaction between some cels and there it is....

This is a traveling sales(woman) presenting her wares from her standing stool, with the help of her Jester Head assistant. She is wearing the head of one of the creatures from one of my other drawings.

I used ink and water to make the wash underneath and then drew the lines with regular archival ink pens on top. I included a few close up images so that you can see the different items in her cart.

I don't think digital modification is allowed, but the last image is a colour corrected version with some brightened whites and highlights that were lost in the process. I need to find something to use to replace my whites in the analog world.

Heres a story about a travelling salesman:
Its a travelling salesman who sells vacuum cleaners. He stops at a house and try to sell his product to the lady who lives here. Hes lucky: she doesnt even have a vacuum cleaner. But, nothing he says seem to interess her so, he takes the trash empty it on the floor and say to the housewife: "Show me where I can plug the vacuum cleaner and if theres anything left, Ill eat it" and she responds: "I hope youre hungry, we dont have electricity..."

LOL ,I almost forgot about the prize from last contest since I had yet to receive a response, I contacted the admin 2 or 3 times left a message in the threads, checked my messages and email ,but still nothing,I was really wanting that T-shirt toobut as the old saying goes where here to learn and get better right,but if I place in this one a nice prize at the end would be great........we will see This is the first ever sketch I've posted on to this website. The other sketches are really good, which kind of made me hesitant in submitting my own, though I decided to do it in the end. Anyway, I hope to keep participating and, best of luck everyone
