Yep, its February and that time of year is upon us... when we're supposed to be nice to our significant other with flowers, chocolate, dinner and a razor sharp steak knife to the heart! Haha. You know, just to show we care. Alrighty everyone, let's see what you can do!

I decided to go with a Cupid-themed bloody Valentine. It seems by the time Alien Salesman was done, half of them (including mine) involved some kind of transaction of humans. I thought this time I would be more original or at least be the first.

This is done with a Pigma Micron pen and colored with a couple of copic markers. I'm not Heinrich Kley, but I was going for something similar.

this is great! awesome, clean linework. If i had to suggest anything I'd take a look at the grooms arm length, they look a tad bit short. Awesome work!

thanks for the compliment and the critique! After reading what you wrote I realized that indeed the grooms arms look a little short. Thanks for catching that. That's the one thing I always loved about the forums is all the help you get from other artists and even people who just like to look at art :)

Hello! my first submission...everrrr. diggin all the sketches!

After receiving flowers and a card. The girlfriend decides to give her boyfriend his gift, with fatal consequences in the end.

I know this may be a bit risque. I wanted to practice drawing the human figure in a seductive position while making so many mistakes at the same time, so it is pretty messy. I need to work on making my submissions a bit more cleaner. Good job to everyone else for their work!

....erm...should've started this sooner...So I thought I'd reference the movie "My Bloody Valentine", showing Sarah Palmer (who's lost her pants somewhere...) busting big bad bloody holes in a dizzy Tom Hanniger with some arrows of "love" in the Hanniger mines.

I really like the idea of a monthly contest. It gives many of us a chance to "stretch our legs"....so to speak, and really dig into that "minds eye" it lets the creativity flow from within!
