Yep... as in Alice in Wonderland (and Easter is right around the corner after all). Now you don't have to do the actual rabbit hole, but anything that you would like from that world!

hy im new here i know there is a guideline for this but; is it allowed to post sketches done with tab. in photoshop?...i mean its still a sketch just done by digital pen...or im wrong?

no unfortunately there is no digital allowed. only REAL drawings. any kinds of materials but must be real, no digital..

thx man...im ok with that but long time ago i stop drawing on real paper...i know to some ppl that is a big NO...but i dont like it anymore so...

Like every artist out there, I am my own worse critic and always become skeptical about showing my work in public. But I feel confident about this website and I am going to man up and submit a super radicalicous, he who makes panties wet, kind of drawing. or maybe not

Here we go, still might play with this a bit. I have the idea to put a tea cup around the Hatter's finger. We'll see what happens before the end of the month :) I ended up just playing with sone of the characters, went from my imagination except I used a real card for reference on the Jack.

I've been learning to use perspective to create a point of view in my pieces.
It' s a great tool to add drama and emotion, and help narrate an illustration.

I came in second and third place in october and novembers sketch contests... it is now march and I still havent gotten anything shipped to me. I tried contacting the sites staff, over 5 times, but they just ignore me.... not professional...

red font...:eek: wow... and that's a long time, too. Maybe its because I only placed 4th in december, but I did get my prize...that sucks.

Still, you should relax and stop denigrating the staff; it may be something up with the shipping or they could be having other problems... Ultimately, this is just a friendly competition that they sponsor to encourage artists to share their work with other artists, and showcase the work and interviews of industry professionals.

You should double check by contacting the past winners, for those months, to see if they received anything or just be patient; because I'm pretty sure putting the staff on blast isn't going to help your shituation.

@ carlos kike,

Your first entry Carlos is hilarious and a great composition altogether! I like that the rabbit has definition and looks like a disciplinary, when rabbits are portrayed to be really cute and cuddly, great reversal! I got a kick out of it when I saw it, because of the connotations of the topic itself! Great job!

Hey there, this is my first time in this competition, all do I have been following the site for a few months. I'm happy to finally take part of this

The first one is a redrawing of one of the illustrations from the book, changed it up a bit... but I wasn't sure if that was allowed.

Well I took the idea of the rabbit hole to that of a portal and swiping some stuff from Carroll's second book and this is what I got. The Mad Hatter reaching out to Alice through the looking glass. Oh and btw the bunny was put there as a compositional element since i felt that too much space was left blank and to center the image.

so many great entries. I decided to do another piece based on the characters I drew the first time around. This time I set more of a scene, hope you guys like it. Graphite and white charcoal on colored paper, 22" x 28"

when you spend some time in the rabbit hole and emerge, sometimes the world is not the same way you left it.

pencil, watercolor,gouache, 8x8 decent paper that held the water nice but i had to wait for it to dry at times.. which is fine

The guildline thread says all entries are collected the 1st of each month, and it takes about 5 days to judge...

N!CE, if you have something ready then just post it - you never know when the actual judging begins, especially since now its a holiday. Also, each month there seem to be a lot of late entries. And you have nothing to lose anyway :)
