An image of two ginormous nano armies captured just before the instant they engage in battle. An epic battle that would later be known to the single survivor as the hundredth of a second war. Magnified to show texture.

I've been checking back here every day waiting for this months contest. Glad I can get my first entry in now :)

Despite being one of the runts of the T series robots, Arnie always found new and inventive ways to make his duties interesting.

This is my take on the theme. I was influenced by some renaissance time with a twist of sci-fi .Bots like the fight of good and evil. hope you like it .

After seeing this month's theme, rather than googling it (I'm not a star wars follower), I asked a friend about them. In his words, they are "the awsomest combat robot-thingys ever".

So, going over this description in mind, I made up my perception of what my Battle Droid should look like, with the sketch showing him triumphant over an enemy.

Thanks. Great theme.

Howdy everyone, want to start by saying that I'm a First Time Poster and pretty new to these boards. Have to say that there is a lot of talent here and great to see some beautiful and awesome work. I was really excited to join in on the fun here and went to work ( during class of course, Only 3 classes this quarter ) and had an idea for this months contest. I read the rules and went ahead and used a blue Pen on this. I call it........

....Enter the Battle Droid Triage!

Enjoy!

Hi all I have entered once before in sketch theatre I love this months topic I have decided to create a battle droid version of the lion of venice it is also the symbol of Saint mark. This is a modern day version of the lion of venice. In the old days the lion of venice had two forms the lion of war and the lion of peace this version obviously is not the friendly feline version hope you all like.

Hi.

Edit: Please click on the largest-sized image to truly see the details.

This is my first sketch piece for sketch theatre.

I decided to enter the contest.

I must say that this is the first bot I have ever drawn.

This is meant to be a human-bot-insect sort of hybrid.

Drawn with an automatic pencil and highlighted with a soft eraser.

Perhaps if it seems harmless it has something hidden that actually makes it quite dangerous. If you were going to take this any further, making some (subtle) indication of that danger would make it even more interesting.

SketchTheatre> Since this is my first time to participate in these contests, I would like to ask if I can post my preliminary and rough idea sketches... or should I post the final submission straight away?
If I can post my roughs, should I post like "This is my final" note, on the final image?

Thanks for the replies and help.

Peace.

I'm a newbie here. This is my take on the Battle Droid. Done a bit of research about it, (actually I didn't know it was from Star Wars...thought they were those animal robots...) did some studies, and I ended with this one. To those familiar with Japanese Mech, the design obviously rings a bell. Hope you like it.

Cheers Logic! Yeah I'm a big fan of the Aliens Universe and other works of HR Giger.

This is a design i thought would be neat, this Is my first Submission please be gentle.

There Is a 3-dimensional cross section of the right arm to show the underlying technology and how It influences the overall design of the suit, variations of wether a jetpack or a set of wings on the back of the body was an Idea I thought would pertain to what situation was at hand. This Is actually a suit but I did not get to the design of the inside of the suit itself as I lack proper training how to model and conceptualize complex machinery that can actually function.

Hi, this is my entry.
I thought about this drone fighter as a sentient creature designed to complete its objectives.
The drone sees either day or night, and 'connected with the central brain of drones across the antennas,
limbs may engage various types of weapons, from a distance or melee. It has a special armor that allows him
operate at all temperatures from cold to warmer, is invulnerable to bullets not enhanced. The legs end
Foot Tripod Titanium that helps to make big jumps and landing behind the enemy lines of defense.
I made the sketch following the lessons learned in the beautiful series of Gnomon Workshop DVD
"Imaginative illustration with J.P. Targete" Great DVD!
I hope you enjoy, Marco
