Niagara falls is about 6 hours or more away from nyc, not counting traffic and customs inspections delays..to see niagara you would fly into buffalo airport..to see nyc you would fly either into la guardia or JFK airport..with 3 days i dont think you can(or would want to ) see both new york and niagara falls..i would spend the entire time in nyc and go out onto Long Island and show them the ocean out there
